| AIFF & Britt Festivals Present 'All Together Now' Under the Stars |

 | The ashland independent film festival is collaborating with Britt Festivals to present a special screening of the 2009 AIFF smash success All Together Now, at the Britt Pavilion in Jacksonville Thursday, August 27. The film chronicles The Beatles collaboration with Cirque du Soleil to create LOVE, a visual and musical circus spectacular and includes rare Beatles archival footage, interviews with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr and the remixes of the group's classic music.  | The 8th Annual ashland independent film festival wrapped up April 6 after five days of packed theatres. 100 of the festival's 135 films and events were sold out. 16,000 tickets were distributed to approximately 6000 attendees. See the full schedule and synopses for each of the films and join us for the next AIFF, April 8-12, 2010.

 | All 2009 AIFF filmmakers and the juried and audience award winning films were honored at the Awards Celebration Sunday night. Paper Covers Rock took home four honors including the statuette for the juried and audience awards for Best Narrative Feature, juried Best Cinematography and a special acting jury mention to Jeannine Kaspar. 2009 Artistic Achievement and Rogue Awards |

 | At the 2009 Awards Celebration on April 5th the Artistic Achievement Award was presented to renowned animator Bill Plympton. The festival featured several Plympton works and Animation Live: An Evening with Bill Plympton. Turner Classic Movies host and NPR entertainment critic Elvis Mitchell was the AIFF's Rogue Award recipient. He presented Elvis Mitchell on Cinema: Past, Present and Future and screenings of his The Black List films.
