Synopsis
At the mouth of the Amazon River, in Belem, Brazil, a murder trial is taking place. The victim, Sister Dorothy Stang, a 73 year old Catholic nun from Ohio, was shot six times at point blank range and left to die on a muddy Amazon road. Her shocking murder exposed a sordid battle in the Brazilian rainforest. They Killed Sister Dorothy follows the powerful real-life courtroom drama that unfolds at the trials of her confessed killers.

Who was Sister Dorothy? A social advocate affectionately known as the "Angel of the Amazon," who worked tirelessly for decades to empower peasant settlers and establish the Sustainable Development Project? Or a social agitator who made enemies among the local loggers, ranchers, and others who wanted increased development in the rainforest? Did they order her death? Narrated by Martin Sheen, They Killed Sister Dorothy is a murder mystery set against the larger battle for the Amazon rainforest. [subtitles, violence]

Synopsis
Victoria, an old upright grand piano located in San Francisco's St. Anthony Dining Room, is visited and played daily by many of the city's homeless and low-income population. Although she’s out of tune, missing keys and has broken pedals, Victoria, as one guest says, "is just like us, she may be all broken but she still plays, she still has a melody."
