This manuscript describes the adventures of a young man who, in the late '80s, left the midwest for New York to realize his big dream: to become a published writer. The diary gives an honest and raw account of the author's quest. Small, intimate portraits of some of the colourful characters described in the diary come to life during the search for the author. Through these encounters clarity gradually emerges about the fate of the talented author, and about the value of chasing dreams.
