What if you could morph your car into a mobile work of art, and drive it down the road for all to see? What would it look like? What would the world think of you? How would you be changed?

Look into the minds and hearts of a delightful collection of eccentrics, visionaries, and just plain folks who have transformed their autos into artworks. On a humorous and touching journey, we discover what drives the creative process for these unconventional characters. As different from one another as the creations they drive, they share the intensity of their passion to take a dream on the road and live the consequences of being individuals of the most singular sort on our increasingly homogeneous highways. Features additional photography by 2007 AIFF Artistic Achievement Award Winner Les Blank.

Join filmmaker/artist/author Harrod Blank and his photographs from the book Art Cars. Blank's interactive Camera Van will be on display in the show, the film and on the street! First Friday Art Walk: Friday 4/3, 58p and through the weekend; Houston's Custom Framing and Fine Art, 270 E. Main.
