When Did You Last See Your Father? stars Academy Award-winner Jim Broadbent (Iris, Moulin Rouge) and Colin Firth (Then She Found Me, Love Actually) and was the "Opening Night Feature" at the 2008 ashland independent film festival. The film is an unflinching exploration of a father-son relationship.  As a successful writer deals with his overbearing and bullish father's terminal illness, memories of his childhood and teens - funny, embarrassing and upsetting - come rushing back.  The July 25 screenings begin the ashland independent film festival's monthly series of Southern Oregon premieres and encores of Film Festival favorites showing on selected Fridays through November at the Varsity. These special showings will benefit the non-profit AIFF and are made possible by Coming Attractions Theatres.
