Synopsis
A collaborative project from five of NYC’s most adventurous and visionary filmmakers in which they literally adapt each other’s dreams for the screen. Imagine a man and his grandmother hiding out from an ominous broadcast, the Grim Reaper hosting a TV show, newly freed prisoners re-counting and reinterpreting their first days of freedom, a suburban mom with a beast growing inside of her, and a high school gym teacher running drills from inside a volcano. Experimental? Yes. A stunningly beautiful visual realization of the state between sleep and consciousness? Definitely.
Directors’ Statement: Lily Baldwin, Frances Bodomo, Daniel Patrick Carbone, Josephine Decker, Lauren Wolkstein
This project brings together a small, carefully curated group of five emerging American filmmakers working at the intersection between narrative and surrealism with a shared goal of adaptation. Our hope is that the film plays as a sort of strange visual mixtape, recorded at another frequency, transmitted from another place. We hope that collective: unconscious feels refreshingly unburdened, transporting audiences to a state of consciousness that modern American cinema simply doesn’t let us visit often enough.

Synopsis
Using her vivid imagination, a young girl takes a magical tour through the universe, right from inside her bedroom. A visual, educational feast.
Director’s Statement: Noah Sterling
Raspberry Galaxies was my opportunity to combine everything I love — from science, to fantasy, to space travel, to puppetry. I wanted to tell a very big story on a small scale, and thanks to an incredibly talented cast and crew, I believe I have achieved just that.
