Film Submissions

SUBMISSION POLICIES & FEE WAIVER INFORMATION

The below discount codes are available for AIFF alumni, films produced in Oregon, and students. Only one discount may be used per submission. Any misuse of discount codes will result in automatic disqualification without refund.

• ALUMNI FILMMAKERS: AIFFALUM27‍ ‍

  • Returning AIFF Alumni are eligible for a free entry waiver to submit to AIFF2027. To qualify, the submitted film must include a producer or director, who has screened their film at the Ashland Independent Film Festival in a previous year (2001-2026).

• SOUTHERN OREGON FILMMAKERS: LOCALS27

  • Filmmakers residing in Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Siskiyou counties are eligible for a free entry waiver.

• OREGON FILMMAKERS: AIFFOR27

  • Filmmakers residing in Oregon and outside of the above counties are eligible for 50% off the submission fee.

    • All Oregon film submissions will be in competition for consideration, along with all entries across North and South America. Oregon films with a running time of under 15 minutes will be considered for a regional spotlight program. Creation of this program remains at the discretion of the AIFF Programming Team.

• STUDENT FILMMAKERS: AIFFSD10

  • Student Filmmakers receive a $10 discount on your entry fee. Please note in your cover letter of your submission form where you are currently enrolled, what year of education you are in, and what year you plan to graduate. The producer or director’s student ID may be required.

Please know that we cannot grant discounts to all, and that these will be considered on a case by case basis. If your request is coming from outside of the Americas, we may not respond.
