Join us for First Friday at the AIFF Film Center! This month we’re screening the 1940 comedy classic, “His Girl Friday.” Directed by Howard Hawks, this razor-sharp comedy stars Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell as journalists and former husband and wife frenemies locked in a playful battle of wits while in pursuit of a major news story. Featuring rapid-fire repartee and plenty of romantic charm, this whip-smart screwball rom-com is a favorite for film lovers of all ages, and a perfect date night outing.

Before the film, we’re showing some of the winning shorts from the Internet Archive Public Domain Film Remix Contest, an annual competition that encourages reimagining content from the treasure trove of public domain archival media.

This is a FREE family friendly event and all ages are welcome. No tickets needed. Drop-in any time to enjoy some or all of the films! Wine and popcorn will be on hand. See you there!

Guest programmer: AIFF Operations Manager, Aubry Hollingshead
