ORIGINS
AIFF Downtown Film Center
389 E. Main Street, Ashland, OR
Come join us at the AIFF Film Center for the continuation of our Monthly Film Series this January!
ORIGINS, directed by alum Drea Cooper (T-Rex, Fire in Paradise) is a cinematic odyssey into the heart and mind of world-renowned, visionary choreographer Alonzo King, offering an intimate look at his creative process and his profound belief in the limitless potential of the human spirit.
The film features many gorgeous dance sequences performed in natural landscapes– a visual feast.
Origins will be preceded by a wildly imaginative short film, ZOMBIES, directed by Baloji. Born in Lubumbashi, Democratic of Congo, Baloji is an award winning filmmaker and musician based in Belgium. This short film explores our relationship with current technology and culture moving from hair salon, to club, to urban parade, and beyond. The costumes are worth the price of admission alone!
